Our Waxed Canvas Key Organiser is made from 100% BCI Cotton, sustainably-sourced wax cotton made by Halley Stevensons – a world-leading Scottish manufacturer, supplier and pioneer in waxed cotton and weatherproof fabrics since 1864.

BCI stands for the Better Cotton Initiative. This global not-for-profit organisation based in Geneva and London seeks to make the cotton industry more sustainable. The waxed cotton used on the top layer has traditional wax with a drier handle and a high patina on handling. The animal-free wax used in this finish utilises up to 20% of waxes obtained by thermally breaking waste plastics to yield wax and oil. 

This cotton lining complements the waxed canvas. It is wax free and treated with a DWR C6 fluorocarbon finish. In addition to water repellency, these linings have good oil repellency and act as a barrier to the wax, which means you can enjoy a water-resistant Key Organiser for longer.
